Your day-to-day activities as an Applied Perception Engineering Lead involve leading a team of engineers to develop and deploy perception systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate perception with other autonomy components, and working closely with customers to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing perception algorithms and systems for various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and defense


• Leading and mentoring a team of perception engineers to design, develop, and validate perception systems


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate perception with other autonomy components, such as planning and control


• Working closely with customers to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions


• Designing and implementing testing and validation protocols to ensure perception system performance and reliability


• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in perception and autonomy, applying this knowledge to improve Applied Intuition's products and services


• Reporting to the Director of Engineering and working closely with other leaders to drive the company's technical vision and strategy.
