Job Description
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING:
CODOXO IS NOT ABLE TO OFFER SPONSORSHIP OR ACCOMMODATE ANY
CANDIDATES THAT ARE CURRENTLY BEING SPONSORED NOW OR IN THE
FUTURE
Of the $3.8T we spend on healthcare in the United States
annually, about a third of it is estimated to be lost due to
waste, fraud and abuse. Codoxo is the premier provider of
artificial intelligence-driven solutions and services that help
healthcare companies and agencies proactively detect and reduce
risks from fraud, waste, and abuse and ensure payment integrity.
Codoxo helps clients manage costs across network management,
clinical care, provider coding and billing, payment integrity,
and special investigation units. Our software-as-a service
applications are built on our proven Forensic AI Engine, which
uses patented AI-based technology to identify problems and
suspicious behavior far faster and earlier than traditional
techniques.
We are venture backed by some of the top investors in the
country, with strong financials, and remain one of the fastest
growing healthcare AI companies in the industry.
Position Summary:
Codoxo is looking for a Chief of Staff Intern to work directly
with the CEO on the operating priorities that help the company
scale.
This is an in-person role in the Atlanta area. The ideal
candidate is currently pursuing an MBA, but started their career
in engineering, computer science, data science, product, or
another technical discipline.
We are looking for someone who is AI native, highly analytical,
operationally intense, and comfortable moving between strategy,
execution, customer work, product thinking, and internal
operating cadence.
The Chief of Staff Intern will work directly with the CEO on
high-priority projects across the business.
This person will help turn CEO priorities into structured
workstreams, drive follow-through across teams, prepare customer
and board-facing materials, use AI tools to increase execution
velocity, and help identify where process, data, communication,
or ownership needs to improve.
This is not a passive strategy internship. It is for someone who
wants exposure to how a growth-stage healthcare AI company
actually operates, sells, delivers, and scales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work directly with the CEO on strategic and operating projects
across sales, customer success, product, partnerships, and
company operations.
* Build crisp analysis, dashboards, memos, and executive
materials that help the CEO and leadership team make better
decisions.
* Use AI tools aggressively to accelerate research, analysis,
customer prep, workflow automation, meeting synthesis, and
internal execution.
* Help improve Codoxo’s operating cadence, including weekly
business reviews, customer follow-up, leadership meetings, board
prep, and cross-functional accountability.
* Support customer and prospect work by researching accounts,
preparing briefing documents, summarizing stakeholder needs, and
translating customer issues into internal action plans.
* Help the CEO identify bottlenecks across the company and turn
them into practical recommendations, owners, timelines, and
follow-up mechanisms.
* Partner with product, engineering, sales, and customer teams to
understand where Codoxo can improve speed, quality, and customer
impact.
* Take ambiguous CEO requests and turn them into useful work
product without needing excessive direction.
Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing an MBA, preferably with prior experience in
engineering, computer science, data science, product, technical
consulting, or software.
* Undergraduate or prior professional background in engineering,
computer science, applied math, data science, or a related
technical field.
* Highly fluent with AI tools and able to use them as a daily
operating system, not as a novelty.
* Strong analytical ability, with comfort working across data,
business context, customer needs, product tradeoffs, and
executive communication.
* Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to
produce clear memos, structured analysis, customer summaries, and
leadership-ready materials.
* Low ego, high ownership, and comfortable working in a
fast-moving environment where the work can change quickly.
* Strong enough technically to understand AI, data workflows,
software delivery, healthcare operations, and product
constraints.
* Interested in healthcare, fraud, waste and abuse, payment
integrity, enterprise AI, or health plan operations.
* Able to work in person in the Atlanta area.
What success looks like
By the end of the internship, this person will have helped the
CEO and leadership team move faster on several high-priority
initiatives.
They will have improved internal operating discipline, produced
useful executive work product, helped prepare customer and
board-facing materials, and created AI-enabled workflows that
continue to help the company after the internship ends.
The best candidate will leave with deep exposure to how an AI
company in healthcare scales from strong product-market fit into
a much larger enterprise business.
Why this role is different
This role gives direct exposure to the CEO of a growth-stage AI
company solving a meaningful problem in healthcare payment
integrity.
The intern will see how strategy, sales, product, customer
delivery, finance, and company operations connect inside an
enterprise SaaS company. The work will be practical, high
context, and tied to current company priorities.
Location
Atlanta area.
This is an in-person internship. Codoxo is looking for someone
who can spend meaningful time with the CEO and team, not operate
only through Zoom and email.
* Physical Requirements: Work is performed in an office
environment (either in our office or work-from home) and requires
the ability to work on a computer, operate standard office
equipment, and work at a desk.
Accessibility Notice: If you need reasonable accommodation for
any part of the employment process due to a physical or mental
disability, please send an email to careers@codoxo.com with the
subject "Accommodation". Reasonable accommodation requests will
be considered on a case-by-case basis.
