Sitting at the intersection of fintech, regulatory compliance, and data privacy, you will serve as the subject matter expert on Brazilian financial legislation, payment ecosystem regulations, and data privacy laws (LGPD). Operating as an Individual Contributor, you will navigate complex local frameworks to safeguard our operations and support Rapyd’s rapid growth across the region.AI at RapydWe're at the point where AI handles the repetitive heavy lifting — and we're looking for someone already thinking that way. Whether it's accelerating complex regulatory research, synthesizing BACEN directives, or automating policy documentation to focus on strategic risk management, if you've ever caught yourself optimizing routine compliance workflows before anyone asked you to, you'll fit right in here.Key ResponsabilitiesServe as the primary subject matter expert on Brazilian financial laws, Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) regulations, LGPD, and local payment ecosystem standards, specifically focusing on payment aggregators (credenciadores/subcredenciadores).Manage integration dynamics, regulatory reporting, and compliance operational flows with financial market infrastructures (IMFs), including CERC and CIP (Núclea) for credit card clearing and receivables registration.Monitor, interpret, and implement local regulatory changes, assessing impact and ensuring full operational readiness.Manage regulatory relationships, audits, and official inquiries with local authorities and financial ecosystem partners.Draft, review, and maintain local compliance policies, internal controls, data privacy documentation, and commercial agreements.Oversee anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and know-your-customer (KYC) frameworks tailored to Brazilian requirements.Partner directly with global Legal and Risk teams to align local operations with Rapyd's overall strategic vision.Serve as the local point of contact for Rapyd's Data Protection Officer (DPO) function in Brazil, managing LGPD compliance, data subject requests, and interactions with the ANPD.
