Metabase's BizOps & Finance team builds the systems keeping the company running smoothly behind the scenes. We cover a wide range of areas — finance and accounting, sales operations, legal operations, compliance, and account management — but we treat them all as flavors of operations. Whatever the task, we take a systems-driven approach — design it, build it, and run it (ideally, automatically). Our goal is to free the rest of the company to focus on building great software. We're hiring an experienced Controller to own accounting and financial operations at Metabase. It's a broad startup controller role: you'll own core accounting and audit, along with tax, payments, and expense management. Today we run as a small, high-leverage team that delivers much of this through external firms - accountants and tax professionals - so your initial focus will be on managing those partners.
