With customers including Comcast, Orange, and KDDI - over 80% of AT&T’s network traffic now runs through a disaggregated core powered by DriveNets software. DriveNets Network Cloud-AI solution, based on the same technology, was introduced to the market in 2023, providing the highest-performance Ethernet-based AI networking solution, and is already deployed by Hyperscalers, Neo Clouds and Enterprises. Raising over $587 million in three funding rounds, DriveNets continues to deploy the most innovative network infrastructure and is looking for the most talented people to be part of this journey. The Role We are seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead our core engineering team in our network automation organization at Tel Aviv location. This role will lead the core functional domains of the network automation platform   serving Tier-1 service providers. Reporting directly to our SVP of Network Automation, the VP of Software Engineering will lead multiple engineering teams, shaping both technical strategy and people leadership in a fast-growing, mission-critical environment.Key Responsibilities Define and own the highly scalable end-to-end core functional domains across both frontend and backend, for large-scale network automation and orchestration platforms. Drive the design and evolution of highly available, distributed, cloud-native, and AI-enabled network automation. Drive engineering excellence through an AI-first SDLC and modern engineering best practices. Partner with Architecture, Product, and Operations to align technical direction with business goals. Engineering Execution Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex, high scale backend systems, from design through production. Ensure high engineering standards, code quality, and operational excellence. People & Organizational Leadership Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, Hire and develop top talent engineering teams in Israel Foster a culture of ownership, customer first and deliver results. Operational & Business Impact Support large enterprise and telecom customer deployments with carrier-grade requirements. Balance innovation with operational stability in mission-critical environments Contribute to long-term company strategy, growth, and competitive differentiation.
