Manager, Technical Programs

Scope: The project & program responsibilities are focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system from design to release for customers. Develop and manage program plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and procurement activities. Coordinate activities across multiple projects to ensure alignment with program objectives. Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed. Communicate program status to stakeholders and executive leadership. Manage program budgets and financials. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and resolve conflicts. Ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices. 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven track record of managing complex programs within an engineering environment. Drive internal engineering programs requiring close partnership with software engineers and technical stakeholders. Develop sufficient understanding of architectures, systems, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs to identify risks and ask informed questions. Identify repetitive coordination, reporting, documentation, research, and planning activities that can be improved through AI-assisted or agentic workflows. Experiment hands-on with AI agents and tools such as Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or comparable technologies as part of day-to-day program management. Design and improve workflows that use AI agents to reduce manual coordination overhead and increase program effectiveness. Champion responsible experimentation with AI-assisted workflows and share effective practices and learnings across the organization. Demonstrated hands-on use of AI assistants, coding agents, or workflow-automation tools in professional or personal projects preferred. Experience working closely with software engineering teams; prior technical, engineering-adjacent, or technical education experience is preferred. Ability to engage credibly in technical discussions without requiring a hands-on software engineering background. Experience automating a recurring workflow, creating a lightweight internal tool, or otherwise applying AI agents to practical work is preferred. Strong curiosity about emerging AI capabilities and a track record of independently experimenting with new tools and approaches. Comfortable operating in ambiguity and applying sound judgment to responsible AI experimentation.
