Your day-to-day activities as a Middleware Engineer involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate middleware solutions, leveraging technologies such as gRPC, C, Protocol Buffer, and C/C++. Key responsibilities include:
  • Designing and implementing scalable and efficient middleware architectures to support various autonomy applications

  • Developing and maintaining gRPC services and Protocol Buffer definitions to enable seamless communication between components

  • Collaborating with software and hardware engineering teams to integrate middleware solutions with existing systems

  • Troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure high-quality and reliable middleware performance

  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to the improvement of the overall codebase

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve middleware solutions

  • Working closely with the robotics team to ensure middleware solutions meet the requirements of autonomous systems.
