Principal Security Architect

Define architecture and technical strategy for security platforms and services across Azure, sovereign, and specialized cloud environments. Drive scalable, secure, and resilient designs for cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and access management solutions. Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance for complex security and infrastructure initiatives. Identify platform-level challenges and drive long-term solutions that improve scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Establish engineering standards, design principles, and best practices across cloud architecture, networking, and security domains. Influence technical direction across multiple teams and help align engineering investments toward common architectural goals. Mentor senior engineers and architects and foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning. Drive adoption of security-by-design, zero trust, and defense-in-depth principles across engineering solutions. Participate in critical incident management, live-site reviews, and operational readiness activities when required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline. 10+ years of software engineering, cloud architecture, or infrastructure engineering experience. Strong understanding of cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, network security, routing, segmentation, and secure access architectures. Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale security solutions, including identity, privileged access, and Zero Trust architectures. Experience with Infrastructure as Code, policy enforcement, governance frameworks, and cloud security controls. Proven track record of leading architecture initiatives across multiple teams and organizations. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior technical and business leaders. Experience defining reference architectures and platform strategies adopted across large engineering organizations. Knowledge of Azure networking services, identity platforms, Azure security services, and compliance frameworks. Experience scaling security solutions across geographically distributed and highly regulated environments. Experience mentoring architects and senior engineers and leading technical communities.
