Principal Software Engineer

Drive engineering initiatives from inception, hands-on experimentation, evaluation, design and implementation to eventually shipping to the customers Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance, maintainability and reliability of our services and components Work across org boundaries to identify and build solutions that deliver value for our customers Work closely with Product managers, customers and their feedback, and service telemetry to identify new improvements in the product Participate in Livesite operations with emphasis on timely response, delivery & satisfaction for stakeholders Contribute to learning and grow together team culture and mentor engineers on the team by sharing knowledge, participating in Code reviews and Design reviews, leading by example to produce extensible and maintainable code, well thought architecture proposals and design docs. Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of product while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. Embody our culture and values Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python or equivalant experience. Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 6+ years of experience building commercial grade software, with experience in mission-critical cloud applications, large scale, high availability services. 7+ years of experience building full stack applications 4+ years of experience building products for developers azdat azuredata fabric #appdev #azdata Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
