About the Role:Onyx is looking for a strategic Senior Field Marketing Manager to own our entire field and strategic events program from the ground up. This is a true builder role. You'll be responsible for both the strategy and hands-on execution across our field events portfolio: tier 1 industry conferences (Black Hat, RSA), regional field events, and Onyx-hosted experiences.You'll sit at the intersection of sales and marketing, serving as the connective tissue that turns event presence into pipeline. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love the energy of a live event, and know how to stretch a budget without sacrificing impact, this role is for you.What You'll Own:Event Strategy & PlanningDevelop and manage Onyx's annual field events calendar, prioritizing programs that drive pipeline at each stage of the funnelOwn the strategy for our full event tier mix: tier 1 national conferences, regional road shows, and Onyx-hosted events (roundtables, executive dinners, etc.)Define success metrics for each event type and build reporting frameworks to track ROITier 1 Conference ExecutionOwn end-to-end execution for Tier 1 events including Black Hat, RSA, and other major cybersecurity industry conferencesManage booth logistics, sponsorship deliverables, speaking submissions, vendor relationships, and on-site coordinationPartner with product marketing to ensure messaging and positioning are sharp and consistentRegional & Hosted EventsDesign and execute targeted regional programs to support territory-level pipeline goals in partnership with field salesPlan and produce Onyx-hosted events - from intimate executive roundtables to larger prospect and customer experiencesBuild repeatable playbooks that can scale across regions as the company growsProduce channel marketing events in partnership with channel teamSales & Marketing AlignmentWork hand-in-hand with Account Executives and Sales Development Reps to ensure events are generating and accelerating the right pipelineCollaborate closely with demand generation and content teams to integrate events into broader campaign strategyDrive pre-event outreach, on-site engagement, and post-event follow-up in tight coordination with salesBudget & OperationsOwn the field marketing budget: forecasting, tracking, and optimizing spend across the events portfolioManage vendor and agency relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement processesMaintain accurate event data in our CRM/MAP to ensure pipeline attribution is captured
