Your day-to-day activities as a Senior Photonics PDK Design Automation Engineer involve collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify design automation requirements, developing and maintaining PDKs, and ensuring seamless integration with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools. Key responsibilities include:
  • Designing and developing PDKs for photonic devices and integrated circuits

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify design automation requirements and implementing solutions

  • Developing and maintaining scripts and software tools to automate design tasks

  • Working closely with the engineering team to ensure PDKs meet their requirements and are easily adoptable

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in photonics and EDA

  • Participating in the development of technical roadmaps and strategic plans for design automation

  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the growth and development of the team. You will be reporting to the engineering manager and working closely with a dynamic team of engineers, researchers, and developers who are passionate about photonics and design automation.
