You are designing, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed databases, leveraging technologies such as CockroachDB, and programming languages like C/C++ and Rust. Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining distributed database systems that meet the high availability, low latency, and scalability requirements of Cloudflare's global network


• Collaborating with engineers to integrate distributed databases with other Cloudflare systems and services


• Investigating and resolving complex technical issues, using debugging tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement fixes


• Participating in code reviews, ensuring that code is maintainable, efficient, and adheres to industry best practices


• Contributing to the development of technical roadmaps, architectures, and standards for distributed databases


• Mentoring junior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers
