SailPoint is seeking a self motivated Senior Tax Analyst with an entrepreneurial spirit to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Senior Tax Analyst primary responsibilities are global tax compliance and tax accounting. Responsibilities Prepare quarterly and annual tax accounting workpapers for the US GAAP income tax provision. This includes assisting with valuation allowance analysis, uncertain tax positions, and tax account proofs with a clear audit trial and evidence. Coordinate with tax providers and review statutory tax provisions Prepare detailed workpapers to support U.S. federal and state income tax compliance Prepare estimated tax calculations and payment processing across US & international jurisdictions Drive process improvement and automation opportunities in OneSource tax software Assist with resolving federal and state tax notices and audits Assists in researching and gathering information for various global tax law updates Perform other related projects as business needs require at direction of management Qualifications Certified Public Accountant Bachelor's or Master's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience preferred Preferred experience with income taxes and tax accounting Preferred experience with OneSource Tax Provision The Path to Success: 1-Month Milestones Understand SailPoint's global tax compliance and tax accounting processes. Familiarize yourself with the requirements for US GAAP income tax provision workpapers. Meet key internal stakeholders within the finance and tax teams, as well as external tax providers. Begin to understand the documentation and data flow for preparing various tax workpapers. 2-Month Milestones Solidify relationships with internal and external partners involved in tax processes. Independently perform routine activities such as preparing initial drafts of simpler tax accounting workpapers and assisting with estimated tax calculations for US & international jurisdictions. Produce initial drafts of detailed workpapers supporting specific components of the US GAAP income tax provision. 3-Month Milestones Actively contribute to the preparation of quarterly US GAAP income tax provision workpapers, including assisting with valuation allowance analysis, uncertain tax positions, and tax account proofs. Be fully ramped on core processes for preparing detailed workpapers for U.S. federal and analysis, uncertain tax positions, and tax account proofs. Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing OneSource tax software for tax processes, contributing to initial process improvement discussions. 6-Month Milestones Independently prepare and review significant portions of quarterly and annual tax accounting workpapers, ensuring a clear audit trail and evidence. Drive process improvement and automation opportunities within OneSource tax software. Proactively assist with researching and gathering information for various global tax law updates, and assist in resolving federal and state tax notices and audits. Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-max, USD): $80,200 - $135,110.00 Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
