As a Software Engineer - Motion Planning (Fallback Stack), your key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and optimizing motion planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles, using C/C++ and machine learning techniques

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate motion planning systems with sensors, log analysis, and other components of the autonomous stack

  • Designing and implementing fallback strategies to ensure safe and efficient operation in complex scenarios

  • Analyzing and debugging issues with motion planning systems, using log analysis and other diagnostic tools

  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of best practices for software development

  • Working closely with the autonomy team to integrate motion planning systems with other components of the autonomous stack

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in autonomous systems, machine learning, and sensors. You will be working in a dynamic, collaborative environment, reporting to the autonomy team lead and interacting with other engineers, researchers, and technicians to achieve common goals. Your technical expertise in C/C++, machine learning, and sensors will be essential in this role, as well as your ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
