Software Engineer

Implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures Understands internal standards & processes an applies them to make technical decisions Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions May contribute to code & design reviews Software Development Write and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code primarily in Java and Scala for data pipelines and microservices. Implement microservices architecture, ensuring modularity, scalability, and maintainability. Conduct rigorous code reviews and debugging, and develop automated tests to verify software functionality and performance. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, Java services, and batch processing jobs using the Spring Framework (including Spring MVC and Spring Boot/Batch where applicable) to support scalable enterprise applications. Participate actively in agile development processes, including code reviews, daily stand-ups, and design discussions. 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. What We Build Enhanced Onboarding Platform A next-generation platform that consolidates every onboarding path — direct/organic, connected-path (Integrated Signup), and managed-path (Multi-Account Management) — onto a single, consistent set of rails. EOP replaces flow-by-flow, hard-wired experiences with dynamic, just-in-time UI driven by downstream risk and compliance requirements. Business logic is centralized in a server-side orchestration mid-tier (Merchant Onboarding Management), keeping front-end experiences lightweight. The platform supports web, mobile, API, and webhook integration models and integrates in real time with the Salesforce CRM platform to onboard high-value merchants and partners. Merchant Servicing Platform The platform that supports merchants once they are live — wallet, profile, settings, preferences, configuration, and transaction history. We are extending servicing beyond the UI to offer APIs and webhooks as first-class servicing experiences, especially for partners managing merchants on their own platforms, across all merchant segments from SMB through Large Enterprise. Proficient in the Java programming language with a solid grasp of software development principles. Familiarity with core computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, software design principles, object-oriented programming, and relational database concepts. Knowledge of building and optimizing data storage solutions and managing cloud infrastructure for high availability and performance. Proficient in Java and the Spring ecosystem, with experience building REST APIs, web services, scalable microservices, and batch workflows. Familiarity with programming for data processing and automation to complement Java-based Spring applications. Familiarity with developing automated tests to ensure software functionality and performance. Ability to design, develop, and manage automated workflows for seamless data orchestration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams, including product teams.
