Software Engineering Manager

Lead and grow a team of software engineers by providing coaching, career development, performance guidance, and fostering an inclusive engineering culture. Drive service reliability, availability, and operational excellence through incident management, post-incident reviews (PIRs), on-call readiness, and continuous service improvements. Partner with product management, security, compliance, and platform teams to define roadmaps, prioritize investments, and deliver customer and business outcomes. Champion security-first engineering practices, ensuring adherence to Secure Future Initiative (SFI), compliance requirements, privacy standards, and vulnerability remediation goals. Establish engineering processes, quality standards, and metrics aligned with New Production Function (leveraging Agents across SDLC) Drive technical architecture and design reviews, balancing scalability, reliability, performance, and cost considerations. Manage operational priorities, technical debt reduction, and long-term platform modernization efforts. Communicate engineering status, risks, dependencies, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders. Sponsor customer-focused innovation by leveraging telemetry, feedback, and data-driven insights to improve Purview products and services. Ensure teams maintain strong ownership of compliance, governance, RBAC, data protection, and enterprise security requirements across Purview workloads. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Masters Degree in computer Science Expertise in Distributed Systems Expertise in Software Security 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise scale software services. 5+ years of experience in leading software engineering teams
