As a Supplier Development Engineer, your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing supplier quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and SpaceX's high-quality expectations
- Collaborating with suppliers to improve their manufacturing processes, utilizing techniques such as milling and Experimental Design to optimize production efficiency and quality
- Conducting Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) to verify supplier capabilities and ensure seamless integration with SpaceX's manufacturing operations
- Analyzing data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Working closely with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing engineering, quality, and procurement teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
