Senior Software Engineer - IC3 Messaging

Drive the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for features and services across IC3 messaging. Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve service performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment. Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), develop and follow operational playbooks, and participate in the on-call rotation to monitor service health. Proactively learn and apply technical solutions and patterns that improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, security, performance, and operational consistency at scale. Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical coaching, and contribute to improving the team's engineering foundation. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience. Experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Professional experience developing and operating production software. Experience developing and operating large-scale, highly available distributed services, preferably on Kubernetes. Experience with multi-region cloud systems, NoSQL data stores, caching, asynchronous messaging, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools. Experience defining and using service-level objectives, operational readiness criteria, telemetry, incident-response processes, and cross-team delivery practices. Experience with and interest in cryptography.
