Solution Engineer, Data & AI

Lead technical sales conversations with customer technical and business decision-makers, using consultative discovery to understand requirements and connect technology decisions to business outcomes. Design and recommend secure, scalable, resilient, and governed Data & AI architectures across database, analytics, data engineering, integration, and AI scenarios. Lead architecture sessions, technical workshops, demonstrations, rapid prototypes, proofs of concept, MVPs, and pilots to validate solutions and influence technical decisions. Work hands-on with customers to address technical requirements, resolve blockers, and guide the modernization and migration of database, data, and analytics workloads. Build trusted relationships with customer architects, engineers, developers, data leaders, and business decision-makers, acting as a technical advisor throughout the sales and solution lifecycle. Maintain and grow technical expertise across Data & AI and cloud technologies, sharing customer insights, technical knowledge, and reusable practices with the wider Solution Engineering community. Technical pre-sales, technical consulting, technology sales, solution engineering, technology delivery, or equivalent experience. Experience working with database solutions, analytical workloads, data engineering, or related Data & AI technologies in cloud or hybrid environments. Experience engaging with customers and technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate technical concepts, and translate customer needs into technical solutions. Experience delivering technical engagements such as architecture workshops, demonstrations, rapid prototypes, proofs of concept, MVPs, or pilots. Knowledge of cloud architecture principles, including security, scalability, resiliency, governance, performance, and cost optimization. Experience designing or advising on end-to-end data architectures spanning operational databases, data integration, analytics, governance, and AI scenarios. Consultative technical selling skills, including discovery, active listening, storytelling, objection handling, and influencing technical and business decision-makers.
